影片是导演基耶斯洛夫斯基从他的《十戒》中第六个故事发展扩充而成的作品，介休并荣1988年圣塞巴斯蒂安国际电影节多项大奖。自杀没有成功，煤矿等他出院的时候，玛格达居然开始迷恋上了他。
